Alternating trade show and an association merger among reasons why some groups dropped below $10 million in 2013 Trade shows are the lifeblood of AMT—The Association for Manufacturing Technology, keeping the organization's coffers healthy. But in the years between shows, AMT revenue is substantially less. AMT reported $44 million in revenue for tax year 2012—the same year the group held its signature biennial event, the International Manufacturing Technology Show. The following year, the group reported just $6 million in revenue as a result of the absence of the show and a change in revenue recognition.
